Compact CEO nominated for BAFTA

Lead producer for Compact John McKay has been nominated as producer of CBBC’s biggest ever series opener MY MUM TRACY BEAKER – which saw the beloved childrens character redrawn as a single parent bringing up her own challenging daughter. McKay, who also directed the mini-series, is previously an Emmy-winner for the BBC channel with mini-series KATY, also an adaptation of the work of Jacqueline Wilson. Starring Dani Harmer and newcomer Emma Maggie Davies, MMTB is nominated as Best Scripted at the November awards, with fellow nominees being exec producer Spencer Campbell and writer / EP Emma Reeves.
